Discarded Love

I’ve never seen the green of the leaves fall down.
There’s surely something wrong to make fall come around.
Seasons come and seasons go
I’ve even seen a summer snow but
I’ve never seen the green of the leaves fall down.

And then he turned to say,
Someone had gone away,
Discarded love from times gone by.

Somewhere east of Cain we all lost ground
Eden guards her fruit, the rains tumble down.
Faith comes, religion falls
Graffiti art on the cloister walls
Somewhere east of Cain we all lost ground.

And then he turned to say,
Someone had gone away,
Discarded love from times gone by.

Do you ever wonder what stops the rain?
A ring of tears surrounds a heart of pain.
People come and people go
Chasing love a moving picture show
Do you ever wonder what stops the rain?

And then he turned to say,
Someone had gone away,
Discarded love from times gone by.
